Who Else Remembers “Buy Me A Beer?“
Back when I first started posting to the Warrior Forum, in the “old days,” the method of payment on the Warrior Special Offers Forum was a feature called “Buy Me A Beer.” Sellers posted a WSO using sales copy, just like we do today, but instead of using a payment button, many sellers asked buyers to click the “Buy Me A Beer” button and then pay them a certain amount.
Once sellers saw the payment in their e-mail from Paypal, they’d manually e-mail the buyers with the download link. It was truly “old school,” and it’s exactly how I got hooked on the Internet Marketing Business.
Here’s what happened…
After buying a few WSOs of my own, I decided to apply some of the techniques I learned. I combined many of the principles I’ve learned from various WSOs and created a few simple, free blogger blogs. I got some traffic using simple articles and press releases and started earning a small, steady of sales everyday by reviewing affiliate products.
It wasn’t earning much, just a few bucks everyday…but I was using techniques that had proven to actually WORK in the “real world.” I was incredibly excited about the possibilities and decided that I could make a few extra bucks myself by writing about my experiences and helping other Warriors.
I knew that it wasn’t hard to write a report…I’d been doing it for years for school, and I had seen other WSOseller’s reports – they contained great information, but I knew there wasn’t anything truly “special” that I couldn’t write about myself.
So, I wrote about my experiences, put everything into a short, 10 page report, wrote up some quick sales copy and posted my WSO. (I can still remember how hard my heart was beating when I clicked the button the first time.)
But, that day changed my life…
My First Sales Flooded In – Faster Than I Ever Expected
I saw my first “beer” come in…then my second…then my third…all within a matter of minutes. I knew I had created a successful WSO, but I had no idea exactly where it would turn up.
I was expecting a few hundred dollars worth of sales…but I ended up with well over $3,000, and my product was getting rave reviews. It was an incredible experience that you really can’t put into words – I knew that my life had changed forever.
That was just the beginning of my Internet Marketing Career and my experience with the Warrior Forum.
